for sale 與 on sale 的區(qū)別

for sale 的意思是“待售”“供出售”，即“用于出售”。請(qǐng)?bào)w會(huì)下面的句子：

That chair is not for sale. 那把椅子是非賣(mài)品。

I'm sorry, it's not for sale. 抱歉，這個(gè)不賣(mài)。

We don't want our car anymore; it is for sale. 我們的汽車(chē)不想要了，供出售。

These items are just for show—they're not for sale. 這些物品僅供展覽——不賣(mài)。

Car for sale：one careful owner, low mileage. 售車(chē)：車(chē)主用車(chē)仔細(xì)，行駛里程數(shù)少。

Note the “For Sale” signs in front of many of the houses. 注意許多住房前面的“此房出售”標(biāo)記。

The company was put up for sale yesterday in a shock move by management. 資方作出驚人之舉，竟在昨天要出售公司。

on sale 有兩個(gè)意思：

一是表示“出售”，與for sale不同，它表示的是“進(jìn)入銷(xiāo)售環(huán)節(jié)”“處于被銷(xiāo)售的狀態(tài)”。如：

Tickets are on sale from the booking office. 售票處正在售票。

All tickets go on sale this Friday. 所有票在本星期五開(kāi)始銷(xiāo)售。

The new stamps are now on sale at main post offices. 新郵票現(xiàn)在各大郵局有售。

This week's edition is on sale now at your local newsagents. 本期周刊已公開(kāi)發(fā)售，讀者可向各報(bào)販購(gòu)買(mǎi)。

The government will put on sale a special issue of coins today. 政府將于今天出售特別發(fā)行的硬幣。

二是表示“廉價(jià)出售”“打折出售”。如：

Bedding usually goes on sale in January. 床上用品通常在一月份降價(jià)出售。

All video equipment is on sale today and tomorrow. 今明兩天所有錄像設(shè)備降價(jià)銷(xiāo)售。

He was looking for a TV and found one on sale. 他正想買(mǎi)電視機(jī)，結(jié)果找到了一臺(tái)特價(jià)的。

I bought this coat on sale, for $20 less than the original price. 我大減價(jià)時(shí)買(mǎi)到這件大衣，它比原價(jià)降低20美元。
