- around的基本意思是“在周圍,在附近”“到處,四周”,指地理位置。
- around作“大約”解時(shí)，主要用于數(shù)字前，有時(shí)也用于表示時(shí)間的短語前。
- around作“恢復(fù)過來”解時(shí)主要用于健康狀況或意識(shí)方面。
- around常用在動(dòng)詞后面作狀語，還可用作表語或置于名詞后作定語。作“恢復(fù)過來”解時(shí)還常用作賓語補(bǔ)足語。
- around作“流通著的；可利用的”“見過世面的；閱歷廣的；經(jīng)驗(yàn)豐富的”解時(shí)多用于口語，一般用于完成時(shí)中。
- around用作副詞時(shí)不用于比較等級(jí)。
- around和round相似，均作副詞和介詞用。美國人習(xí)慣用around，如下列各例句：He turned around.Like the moon, the artificial satellites move around the earth. 英國人習(xí)慣用round，如上面的前三個(gè)例句，他們習(xí)慣把a(bǔ)round改成round，而最后一句，則改成about。
