manage的基本含義是調(diào)動或操縱人或事物,使其按照自己的意圖行事,可作“經(jīng)營”“管理”解,也可作“控制”“操縱”解,還可作“設(shè)法對付”“辦理”解。
manage既可用作及物動詞,也可用作不及物動詞。用作及物動詞時,接名詞、代詞、動詞不定式作賓語,不接that從句,可用于被動結(jié)構(gòu)。
manage表示“做成”“完成”時,前面不能用can或could; 表示“使用”“享用”“吃”時,前面可用can, could或be able to。

You say "I can manage" or "I'll manage" as a way of refusing someone's offer of help and insisting on doing something by yourself.
