基本解釋

state作名詞的基本意思是“狀態(tài),狀況”,指人或物在外觀、心靈、健康等方面的自然“狀態(tài)”或“情況”,是可數(shù)名詞,常用于in a state of...的結(jié)構(gòu)。
state還可作“國(guó)家”解,如強(qiáng)調(diào)其政治實(shí)體性時(shí),首字母常大寫(xiě); 不強(qiáng)調(diào)政治實(shí)體性時(shí)則首字母可小寫(xiě)。state還可作為一個(gè)國(guó)家中的“州,邦”解,作此解時(shí)是可數(shù)名詞。
state還可作“盛禮,隆重的儀式”解,一般是與政府或統(tǒng)治者有關(guān)的機(jī)構(gòu)舉行的活動(dòng),是不可數(shù)名詞。

state的基本意思是“陳述”,常指在正式或莊重的場(chǎng)合陳述觀點(diǎn)、看法等,而且這種陳述常含有仔細(xì)、詳盡而明確的意味。
state一般用作及物動(dòng)詞,接名詞、代詞、that從句、帶疑問(wèn)詞的從句作賓語(yǔ)。還可接以“to be+ n. ”或to have+ v -ed充當(dāng)補(bǔ)足語(yǔ)的復(fù)合賓語(yǔ)。
state常用于“It is/was stated that...”結(jié)構(gòu)。
state相比于say表達(dá)更正式，常用于正式的公文或者商業(yè)文件，表示“說(shuō)，陳述，聲明”。The chairman stated that the contract would be signed on 16th April. The teacher said that he had to go back to classroom soon.
