連接代詞用作定語的用法

連接代詞的主要句法功能是用作主語和賓語，但有些連接代詞也可用於名詞前作定語，如what, which, whose, whichever, whatever等。如：

1. what

Please advise us what time the goods are delivered. 請通知我們發(fā)貨時間。

Anyhow, I don't care what grade I get if I pass. 不琯怎樣，衹要我能及格，我才不計較分?jǐn)?shù)高低呢。

We almost came to blows over what colour our new carpet should be. 我們爲(wèi)了用什麼顔色的新地毯險些打了起來。

2. which

Please tell me which number bus to take? 請告訴我坐哪路車?

How can I tell which button to press? 我怎麼知道該按哪個電鈕?

I didn't know which channel I was tuned to. 我不知道我調(diào)的是哪個頻道。

3. whose

I do not know whose idea this was. 我不知道這是誰的主意。

I don't know whose toothbrush he is using. 我不知道他在用誰的牙刷。

4. whichever

You can pick whichever one you like. 你喜歡哪個就挑哪個。

Take whichever seat you like. 你願意坐哪個座位就隨便坐吧。

They may vote in whichever district they choose. 他們可以在他們挑選的任何地區(qū)投票。

5. whatever

Take whatever magazines you want to read. 任何你想看的襍志都可以取閲。

We will be grateful for whatever amount you can afford. 你買得起多少, 我們都?xì)g迎。

I am willing to pay whatever price you ask. 不琯你要價多少，我都願意付。

注意；who, whom, whoever等習(xí)慣上用於名詞前作定語。
