• apply作“敷,涂”解時(shí),是正式用法,及物動(dòng)詞僅用于說(shuō)明書(shū)中。在會(huì)話中和大多數(shù)文字中,則代之以put 〔rub〕 it on, rub〔spread〕 it in。表示“把…敷〔涂〕在…之上”可說(shuō)apply sth to...。apply后可接藥物、油漆、冰塊等作賓語(yǔ),而to的賓語(yǔ)可以是物,也可以是人體的某個(gè)部位。
