A tiller is one way a sailboat's rudder is moved to turn the boat.
舵柄是轉(zhuǎn)動船舵（rudder）來改變船的朝曏的一種方式。
Tillers are more commonly used on smaller sailboats because it can take much force to move the larger rudder of a big boat with a tiller.
舵柄在小型船衹上使用得更廣泛，因爲(wèi)對於大船來說轉(zhuǎn)動舵柄來掌舵需要太大力氣了。
The boat turns in the direction opposite that in which the tiller is pushed: to turn right (to starboard), push the tiller left (to port).
船朝著與舵柄被推動的相反的方曏轉(zhuǎn)動：若要船轉(zhuǎn)曏右舷（starboard），將舵柄曏左（port）推。
